MYLA announces Lydia Hearst as new face.

Myla, the luxury lingerie e brand, is delighted to announce stunning supermodel Lydia Hearst is the new face of their Autumn Winter 2008 campaign. The 8 shot campaign will be unveiled in-store in August, whilst a print campaign is scheduled for December.

Lydia, renowned for her beautiful and unique doll like features, has previously fronted campaigns for Prada, Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta and Moschino Cheap & Chic. Discovered by famed photographer, Stephen Meisel, she has graced the covers of many top publications including Vogue Italia, Vogue Germany, Marie Claire Japan, French Playboy & Nylon. She has recently received international acclaim from the prestigious Michael awards when she was named as supermodel of the year 2008.

This season the Myla campaign draws inspiration from the dark, seductive Hollywood glamour of 40’s. The dramatic images contrast light and dark, playing with reflection and dramatic shadows against sensual fabric backdrops. Lydia appears in breathtakingly seductive lingerie from Myla’s beautiful Autumn Winter collection, indulgent pure silk satin in an array of rich jewel colours offset with black leavers lace and pale vintage multi frilled confections.

Myla Creative Director, Franceska Luther, comments, 'For Autumn Winter 2008 , I turned up the volume with strong luscious colour and styling inspired by a dramatic 40’s mood, drawing on Film Noir Screen Sirens and classic Hollywood glamour. The collection features iconic new bra shapes to co-ordinate with retro hipster knickers and deep suspenders in silk satins, crepes and extravagant lace with an abundance of sheer frills and opulent details. The use of vintage mirrors and shadow gives the images a wonderful ambience and hand tinted feel like a portrait by the artist Tamara de Lempica, highlighting the luminous skin quality and the contrasts of dark and light that is our brand identity.'

The campaign was shot by international photographer Ben Hassett, who has previously worked on campaigns for Pringle, Missoni and Loewe. Working alongside Ben, was stylist Geriada Kefford, hair stylist Neil Moodie and make-up artist Lisa Eldridge.
